COMMUNICATING WITH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
In Photography, sometimes we don't know what makes a good photograph besides the fact that...we jus like it.

And because of this, quite often, we find that the reason the bride picked the photo
might not be the reason we think. For example, a bride might like the shot of the ring
(above) because of the fact that her heels, that she spent so many months picking, are in it. Or, she might like it because the ring is in focus and everything else isn't. Because of the ambiguity in understanding what a client wants, quite often, wedding photographers rely on their instinct, applying their own style and hoping that the client likes it.
But here at our studio, we like to mold our style around each of our clients. Of course, Moments by Bilal prides itself in photojournalism, fine art, and dramatic portraiture -and we stay true to that. However, we like to also provide the option for our brides to have photos that are the uniquely defined style that they want.
This is done through our Mood Board where we provide a link to our previous weddings and Pinterest boards, giving the bride the ultimate discretion to pick her favorite photos and comment what she likes about them at her convenience as opposed to a brief meeting. These are the four main things to remember and comment on, even if it's a brief reference:
positioning of the bride
(posing)
the overall view/angle
(composition)
the brightness of the shot
(lighting)
the color tones
(warmth/cool)
